Why Durable Hose Covers Matter

In November 2024, Cindy and I decided to start a mobile hydraulic repair and new hydraulic system installation service. After working with our customer's hose circuit damages, then evaluating why we were replacing hoses with cracked, worn, and deteriorated outer covers, I immediately contacted Gates, our preferred hydraulic hose manufacturer.

We found the main culprit was the ozone, with the Phoenix area being among the worst ozone areas.

In September 2025, we decided to get back in the hydraulic hose business. I expect the Gates wear-resistant and ozone-resistant covers will save you additional maintenance labor, reduce cleanup, lower oil costs, lessen downtime, and, most importantly, give you another chance to avoid contaminating your hydraulic system and prevent a hydraulic catastrophe.
